Established in 1948, William "Bill" S. Flynn began his company by hand painting signs and servicing neon.
Over the next twenty years the company grew and business was conducted from several smaller shops around Crossville and later constructing a building behind his house. In the late '60s, Flynn began building billboards on Interstate I-40 as Cumberland County began to develop into a retirement resort community.
In 1970, the company moved to its present location on 85 Burnett Street. Although paint is virtually non-existent in the business today, Flynn Signs continues to provide customers with quality and effective outdoor advertising.

Flynn Sign Co. continues its family owned and operated outdoor advertising and commercial sign company under the direction of Bill's son, Tom Flynn.
With changes in the marketplace, and changes in technology, Flynn Signs is the leader in On-Premise Digital LED Sign applications for businesses, worship centers, municipals, financial and educational institutions. We continue to service traditional signs and manufacture most all signs at our 85 Burnett Street location to include internally lighted and channel letter signs.
